Don't make it complicated, don't remove the bumper. There is a pic for you to illustrate how the other member gained access:

How about running the wiring harness that runs straight to the battery? Or are you guys just using the stock wiring harness for power?

haha that looks so familiar I did the same exact thing No need to take off the bumper and cause more problems IMO. Just did the same for an ISF and IS owner a few weeks back in my driveway. Just make sure to check your connections before putting everything back together.

mysteryan-I do not have the relay but you have to plug the connector in backwards for it to work. I have electrical tape around mine and I haven't had one issue in the year I have had them installed.

Wish I read this about 2 hours earlier. Placed the order already. Think Xenon Depot will allow me to swap the brand new 6500k's with the 6000k's if I dont like the look?

Just saying the "correct" way to do it. Sure you can zip tie everything up, but the vibrations can and will eventually kill the ballast if they are not silicone filled. Like I said, mine is mounted on the bumper support, bolted down to a solid ground.

^ why it that the "correct" way to do it There is no wrong or right way to do them. Its all a matter of knowing what you are doing when you install. Take off the bumper, go from underneath the car, going from the fender liner. They all get you to the same spots some just require less work and less parts to take off and potentially get damaged.

More important is that you know what you are doing when you install. Ballast will hold up if you get a good quality product and you install it securely regardless of where you install. I have had no problems with my MobileHID stuff in both cars.

Take off your bumper but make sure you have an extra hand. It will make it a whole lot easier and look something like this..

I installed my HID Fogs without removing the bumper. I went through the wheel liner. It took me about an 1.5 hrs on the driver side alone (learning curve) and once i knew what i was doing less than 30 minutes on the passenger side and that included removing the tire and the bolts under the bumper. Very easy install and my ballast is very secure.
