I was speaking to my dealer yesterday about possibly getting a GS350 AWD. They let slip that they now have the changes for 2010 for US models, and vehicles are expected in the next few weeks, although my sales person still tried to push me into a 2009.

Note a lot of this was announced at the Frankfurt Auto Show for the 2010 GS450h, this is just confirmation that similar changes apply to other GS models...

As far as I can remember:
Cons:
Losing cassette deck from sound system
Losing memory buttons for passenger seat

Pros:
Gen 6 NAV with 40GB hard disk, casual voice recognition, still touchscreen not mouse
USB and AUX connection (iPod/iPhone) as standard
XM Radio includes XM Traffic (real-time updates)
Enform etc (OnStar equivalent)

Neutral:
Golden almond and black sapphire colors replaced by ? and Deep Sea Mica (similar colors)
Cashmere interior replaced by something else (parchment?)

 

as long as body style stays same i am good...

hope it's a solid state drive....as often as hard drives go bad, that could be a huge pain having that replaced every couple of years...or more often.

looking at the 2010 LS and RX i believe the gen6 nav will be quite different

 

Infiniti's M is coming out with new sheet metal for 2011 (in the spring of 2010). Also, Lexus just came out with a sport suspension option for the GS (I think it includes Brembo brakes). Both strong signs that new GS sheet metal is less then a year away.

 

So the body will still be the same?Will we have more options for our cars?Parts swap that is.

 

What is a tape deck? Didn't Oldsmobile and Plymouth have them?
