I have an 07 GS350 with a Tanabe exhaust. I hear a lot of valve train noise, especially when parked up next to a building (for example when I'm at a drive through ATM machine). Do you other GS350 owners here this too? Not 100% positive it's valve train noise but it's some sort of ticking noise, that to me, is somewhat excessive.

That ticking noise is from the "direct-injection", that is the trade off of gaining extra 30~40HP from "non-direct-injection" engine!!!

If people ask, just tell them that you are the lucky few to have "deisel engine" in the Lexus!!!

You will get used to the ticking noise, eventually (hopefully)!!!

 

I always wondered what that was. Mine is not that loud but you can defiantly hear it.
