I am trying to find out if the fabric on the rear shade is removable or if the entire unit has to be removed.

I posted about trying to remove dust/dirt from the shade where it was folded up (maybe never used by previous owner?).

I tried a few ways to get to it for cleaning, but not happy with results.

Would anyone with the service manual be willing to look that component up and see if it is in fact removable?

I'm trying to score a set of manuals via ebay, but looks like I'm going to have to assemble a mix n match set as no one has all 5 volumes in one listing.

I checked my 2006 gs300 Owner's manual and Service schedule manual and Supplemental manual, could not find anything regarding how to remove sunshade. Probably not something they want you to do. You can also try emailig Lexus Customer Service @ Lexus Customer Satisfaction [Customer_Satisfaction_Inquiries@lexus.com] and ask them for a manual. They sent me the Owner's and Supplemenal Manual at no charge.

 

Thanks for checking; I have the owners manual and supplement and didn't see anything either. I am hoping that the 5 volume, 800 page repair manual has something on it. I have the set for my wife's SC400 and it's great, especially for getting the interior and body pulled apart.

I have a few emails out to some local places that may be able to help. Still looking, but will reply if I get the info I'm looking for .

 

I was on Ebay and saw a rear shade for a 2007 Lexus GS350. Not 100% sure if it is interchangeable but you could find out.

I just bought a complete set off EBay yesterday for an 06 300/430. If you still dont have an answer by early next week, let me know and I can look it up and post the results for you.
