Default Exhaust System

Hey guys i wanted to see if there was an exhaust system with a switch?
My car is an 06 Gs430.
Turn on for a powerful and a beastly roar.
Turn off for a quiet smooth note.
Thanks in advanced.

First of all... ROTFLMAO.

Second, the answer is no, but there are some that you can put a silencer in the tip (manually), but I doubt it would be as quiet as stock.

There are some exhaust sound simulators that you can buy such as the one in the link I attached, but that is the epitome of "rice".

I think he is refering more to a cat delete bypass. something similiar seen on turbo cars that have a cat and also a bypass for the cat.

I've never used anything like this or even heard of anyone using them.

Thanks man I really appreciate it. By the way whats better a dual tipped exhaust or a quad tipped exhaust? And whats the best exhaust system out that makes a lot of niose.
Thanks again and sorry for asking to many questions.

no exhaust would make a lot of noise. just cut the whole thing off from the down pipe back.

lol, i doubt there is anything aftermarket that has them but i know for cars like bmw and lamboghini..

they have a dual stage exhaust, at low rpm, the butterfly valves in the exhaust are closed which can control the noise and the back pressure and when you step on it, the valve opens and it begins to roar..

quite nice actually

I dont think an aftermarket exhaust company have this for Lexus---yet.

Kreissieg does not have Lexus on their product line...

What you are talking about is similar in concept to my PSE on my 997, and 986. The PSE has an eletronic dash switch that allows to either open (loud), or close (quiet) the bypass valves in the exhaust via vacuum actuators. There is no performance gains with the system.

ORIGINAL electronic bypass type exhausts are by no means Ricey.

I am sure that it can be customized on any muffler system using any electronic cut-out actuator....depending on the modification-this might end up becoming Ricey

What do you mean by "better" ?

If you mean performance or sound quality, there is no noticeable difference between dual and quad tipped exhuasts. The difference is purely aesthetic.

Usually people want the best performance with the least amount of noise, but it appears you prefer noise to performance? If so, the comments I've read on this board would suggest that the HKS is louder than the Tanabe.

Boy, your neighbors must love you.
