Fog light rewiring?
Hello CL,
I did a quick search and didn't see anything on this so I am assuming it's not possible, but thought I would ask anyway...
Is it possible to rewire the fog lights such that either a) you can turn on the fogs without turning on the main headlamps (i.e. by turning on say just the parking lights), and/or b) have the fog lights stay on when the high beams are on.
It wasn't noticeable before, but once I installed my HID fog lights, I noticed when I turned on my high beam, the fogs would turn off. Normally this wouldn't be that big of a concern for me but when you do a high beam flash (i.e. pull on the turn signal), the fogs turn off. This could possibly lead to premature failure of the HID bulbs in the fog lights, I'm thinking, if done too often.
Also, it would be nice if I could drive with just the parking lights and fogs on (e.g. the way Audis used to be with their DRLs).
Has any ingenious CL member figure out how to do either (or both!) of the above?
