No rubbing issues with those specs. They're a little too conservative for most people around here but they will fit with no rubbing.....depending on tire selection.

You guys are SO DAMN LUCKY to have companies like Vossen out in the USA. I desperately want a set of their wheels, but the UK distributors are asking the equiv of $4600 for a set of 20's with semi-budget tyres!!!

Default Wheel Suggestions

Hey everyone! Just bought a '06 gs300 and I'm new on here. The 17" OEM wheels need to be refinished and I'm trying to figure out what to do.

The prior owner just put on new Michelins, but they're the original size (225/50/17) and I don't want to spend the money on new lower profile tires since they're brand new. Are there any other wheels that look good with this size tire? Or should I just get the original wheels refinished? I'd really prefer something more unique. Thanks for your ideas!

Still my favorite looking rims right now! When I get the money I'm definitely going to hop on these! I wish they came in a matte black color so I could have a black/red look.

Default Wheel Set up for Stock

Hey Guys,

Thanks in advance and I apologize for my lack of knowledge and for being a noob: My question is for a 08 GS350. If I was to keep stock ride height and didn't want to modify fenders or any major modifications to the car. What off sets and width rims would work for my car if I went 20 inch rims? and also, any suggestions of rim type/brand would be helpful too.

i recommend 20x8.5 Front +38 offset with 245/30/20 tires, and 20x10.0 Rear +45 offset with 285/25/20 tires. this gives you the in-spec rolling diameter for 20" wheels (ie: your speedometer will read very close to your stock 18" wheels' rolling diameter).

some here have gone with over spec tires, as they feel that that the low profile tires does not provide sufficient protection for the rims if you hit a pothole (i have bent 2 of my rims, required both to be professionally repaired). with over spec tires, you run the risk of rubbing but only if you are lowered.

usually multi-piece wheels allow for specific offsets you require, but often cost more. lots of members here have success with vossen. i prefer work wheels myself.
