I assume the member meant shaved the panels. Even if the disc type doesnt clear the OEM BBK they posted they used 5mm spacers so there would be no reason to shave the calipers.

Another MRM GS in IL

fitment question:

I'm no expert when it comes to fitment, so tell me if you think it's worth taking these off my 2gen and putting them on my 3gen.

HRE 947R 20x8.5 ET 31 RIMS 6.5/2.0
HRE 947R 20x10 ET 35 RIMS 6.5/3.5.

Thanks.

FINALLY, some insight for my situation! Watup guys? Well, I'm new to the FAM and before asking the question I wanted scroll through to see any threads in regard to my troubles. It seems like there's not much of us on here with AWD. I also have an '07 GS350 AWD and I've been getting all types of recommendations on wheel fitment (i.e. Staggerd is perfectly fine vise not, etc). Now I was a little concern of my ride comfort, warranty and suspension wear & tear riding 20's, so I started considering 19's instead. But after a little homework I'm deciding to go 20's (non-staggered). The only two headaches I have left is: 1. I want to refrain from any modifications (i.e. dropping, suspension upgrade, fender/caliper shaving, etc.), but still achieve the perfect look; 2. Trying to avoid 30 series tires, (prefer 35) with Norfolk & Virginia Beach, Virginia 50,000 potholes and highway speed bumps. But I'm now starting to think I have no choice but to get the 30 series in order to fit w/out rubbing and base on the 20's I tried on yesterday, it might be neccessary to get the drop due to that major fender gap that still existed. Now I'm all confused again! HEEELLLPPPP??????

the overall more weight and inertia is not going to matter too, coz' awd just distribute the power, not creating more power
Just what I was looking for! Now the only thing I was wondering is whether I must drop my car<(prefer changing springs), to get rid of that large gap and achieve the look I want or it will be a reasonable gap after? Which is best, the Tanabe or F springs?
In addition, I was considering the TSW Snettertons until I got on here and saw them on the Blue GS, however, I'm considering the same look and found Ruff Racing R281's and MRR's GT1's. But after trying on some wheels Friday the offset seems a little treaky. Meaning, the factories are recommending +35 but the rim shop and I are considering ordering the +20 to be free of that large caliper. Tire fitment is also of question cause I wanted to keep 35 series all around until now I'm hearing staggered fitment wont harm the AWD system. Now Im not sure which way I really want to go now?

Since this was the wheel thread, figured I'd post here...

Anybody know the timeframe for availability of these?

http://www.lexus.com/models/GS/f-spo...WD_RWD_GS.html

I like this look a lot better than the gunmetal grey, and think it'll look good on my Black GS. For those of you that wonder why these specifically, and no aftermarket rims - I'm just trying to keep it as "Lexus" as possible

When I called the dealerships around here looking for pricing, they told me that they weren't available yet, even though the website shows them.

Thanks...
