How many 2007 430s were produced?
Does anyone know?
I ask because I have been looking at 3GSs in the used market and think I prefer the 06-07 to the changes they made in 08+. Additionally, doesn't the 430 come with the adjustable suspension settings and optional **** that the 350 does not?
I looked on auto trader last week and there was not ONE 2007 GS 430 for sale in the entire country.

2,067 GS 430/450h/460s were sold for the year. Thats a mix of all 3.
Up to September
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/car...les-sales.html
1,445 430s and 450hs sold for the year.
October they merged them all as a "GS"
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/car...les-sales.html
Now we know there were probably some 430s on the lots until December. We know the number all includes 450h sales.
I would estimate around 800 GS 430s were sold in 2007.

Mike a couple things. 07 GS 430s are rare, nearly special order. Allocation was to build the new GS 450h instead. **** is an option on the 07 430 but its very rare as its a $3,000 option. 430 does have the sport/norm AVS adjustable shocks.

I'm thinking fewer. There are consistently *many* more '07 450h's for sale in the used car market (eg. cars.com, ebay, etc.) than '07 430's. For example right now there are 43 450h's and no 430's. In the last couple of months there have been only three '07 430's for sale, while the '07 450h's consistently have bunches.
It would be interesting to know, on average, what percentage of a model year's production is on the used car market. If this percentage was somewhat consistent between the '07 430 and '07 450h, there may have been ~15 times many more 450h's produced than 430's (43 divided by 3), leaving only about ~100 '07 430's in total.
On a side note, I think the only significant difference between '07 and '06 430 was the gen5 navigation. But if you are into iPods, it is well worth it; gen5 navigation (with VAIS adaptor and nav hack) offers a far superior ipod interface than gen4.

To be fair, Lexus has not positioned the GS450h as a mainstream car. Its real mission is to educate consumers that hybrid power can be more than just an exercise in fuel savings and reduced emissions. The premium brand of Japanese manufacturer Toyota has set its U.S. sales goal for the GS450h at a very modest 2,000 a year.
Still, Lexus estimates that, driven similarly to the V-8 sedan, the hybrid will save 200 gallons of fuel a year and, probably most important to many, over a 150,000-mile life expectancy it will release 17 tons less carbon dioxide into the air than its V-8 competition.
The guess here is that Lexus will find enough well-heeled buyers who want to indulge their slightly guilty pleasures with a relatively clear conscience
No, you're not mistaken. GS450h numbers are miniscule compared to even GS 350. I see just a couple of 450h cars a month on my commute, and I live in the area where these are much more popular due to HOV exemption and the fact that incomes are very high here.
To get back to the original question, can anyone suggest a way to definitively answer "How many 2007 GS430's are there?" Would an inside connection to a dealership help look this up? At this point, I'm just curious. Could it be one of the worst selling Model/Year of all time?
