Do you guys think that I went too wide on the rear? I love the look of the front but I am afraid that the rear is just too aggressive. Will a drop help with this?

This is my first time going staggered on anything so maybe I will grow into it.

Oh, please don't laugh at my lawn, we had a major frost and then a drought and it turned to sand on me... I plan on getting some sod soon. Rims first though

Dude it looks sweet. The rear does look a little wide but once u drop it I think that will balance out. Okay couple of questions:
1. why did u go with 20 x 9.5 weren't you going with 20 x 9?
2. What tires did you end up going with?
3. How is the ride compared to the 18"? Do you hear and feel the road more?

Those are the wheels I am considering also for my GS430 Silver. Yours was a GS350 or 300? I saw a GS300 and I seemed to have a lower stance stock.
Anyway congrats on the wheels and your response is appreciated.

Thanks RS!

1. I went with the 20x9.5 & 20x10.5 because that is all that Vossen makes and the quality rim that they put out is way better than the other wheel I was looking at. Plus they came with a 4 year warranty and the guy at the wheel shop made me a really good offer.

2. I went mid way on tires to reduce the cost, going with the Falken 452. Up front the size is 245/35 and the rear is 285/30. I had to use a tire that large out back because the wheel is 10.5.

Now, I am getting a minor rub on the inner well up front with a really sharp turn. It is just barely grazing the plastic inside, i'll have to find a way to fix that.

3. My GS came stock with 17's, but as far as the ride goes, you cannot tell any difference. In fact I think it rides a bit better and definitely handles a lot better. It feels like im stuck to the road.

My car is a 06 GS300.

Looks like my next mod is a minor drop with stock struts and a prayer that I don't kill the smooth ride.

I'd do drop first, fast.

The lights are easy. I went with 2500K Nokya bulbs but some people get 3000K HIDs. Or you can also put on a yellow tint over the stock fog.

As for brakes, BBK is sexy!

I tried the PIAA Ion Crystals. They were yellow but the way the buld is shrouded in the housing the yellow of the 9006 bulb does not show up like the H3 version did in my 02ES. I opted for the PIAA 7500K Spark Blue bulb to give it a little extra blue. Unfortunately, they are more blue than the HID. I think the next fog bulb I go with is the PIAA Intense White bulb.

That being said, however, I still have the Ion Crystal bulbs, they are yours if you want them....no charge.

I swapped out my parking bulbs with PIAA Xtreme Whtie bulbs. The 168 bulb and 194 bulbs are interchangeable. Those look pretty decent and very close to the HID color.

So how's the ride been? Did you fix the slight rubbing issue? I have ordered some 20's for my GS and will be here in a couple of days. I ended up going with the Ace Alloys "Executive" model. Was a toss up between the vossen and those. Will see if i like them or still switch to the Vossen's. Until my wheels come in I continue to come to view your car. Wheel envy (lol).
Take care.

Congrats on the ride... Sweet wheels!

Your "To do list" is very similiar to mine when I first got my car...

1. Yellow FOGs (I went with 2500k Nokya bulbs)
2. Parking lights close to 4300K color (PIAA extreme white)
3. iPod integration with nav radio control (Vais)
4. Hybrid NAV DVD (Prestigious Society)
5. Tint windows (35% front and 20% back)

Hey RG, the ride is perfect i'm loving it. Nice and smooth with a lot more traction.

I haven't messed with the rub yet. It only happens when i cut the wheel all the way to the left, like to make a sharp u-turn. This car has one tight turning radius

So, when I make the tight turns it is barely rubbing on the inner rubber of the wheel well. I think that as the tires wear a little this will go away.

Congrats on the wheel purchase!! Get some pics up as soon as you get them.

I am also going with the NF210 drop soon. My weekends are a little booked right now so I'm not sure when I will get them installed. I hope to have an update soon.
