what's your offset? strange, i thought you had confirmed your offset with vossen (in a separate thread) that there would be no rubbing? or did i get you mixed up with someone else?

You are correct, I did have the offset confirmed with Vossen at +38 for the front.

Here is the rub that I am getting, which is only happening on the drivers side, and no im not fat .

You can see the scuff marks here on the inner wall. This is a full left turn as far as the wheel will go.

Here it is touching. 1/4 turn from full.

Anyone else experience this/ have an easy fix?

over spec tires... you will find many related threads, including mine. one way to fix the problem is to use the heatgun, another is getting lower profile tires..

^ what he said. you should go with 245/30 for the front, that should solve your rubbing issues.

hmm... heat gun it is then. Going with a 245/30 up front and 285/30 in the rear does not match. Front Circum is 2060mm and rear is 2135mm.

245/35 and 285/30 are identical at 2135mm.

I really do not want to go skinny with a 25 in the rear, plus i think its a little late to switch the tires now, although I could plead my case that they are rubbing.

Ill search around and see if anyone has posted a how to on the heat gun trick.

Good tool here, fyi (http://www.wheelsmaster.com/rt_specs.jsp)

I just called the wheel shop and they want me to bring the car in to take a look at what is going on. I'm going to swing in tomorrow around lunch time.

They did say that the 245/30 & 285/25 would cost more money for even the same exact brand tire. Any truth to this?

Thanks for the help guys.

i wouldn't even bother with heat gun on those areas. you have to be making quite some turn for it to rub at that spot i imagine, and it's nothing major at all

typical rubbing with overspec tires, no big deal

Ya its more annoying than anything. I will still bring it to the shop tomorrow and they said they could possibly correct the rubbing issues no cost so we will see what they come up with. Last I want to do is make them switch the tires. It is riding really well right now.

My only concern I guess is with the drop if it will rub more

Just got back from the wheel shop. They were great! They used a heat gun on the front fenders and it is perfect now and doesn't even look like they touched it.

I was really scared to run skinnys on my wheels. They were telling me horror stories about people with 25s on 4k wheels that were getting bent all the time due to high tire pressures and little to no protection from bumps.

I think when I do the drop, I will however get the rear fenders rolled. It is inexpensive and they also told me that they can roll them so that they align more with the rear wheel. Since I have a 10.5 rear wheel it is poking out a little bit right now and a rolled fender will actually fix that. To top if off its really cheap to do.

I'll keep you guys updated!!
