Unhappy Hit by flying tire, need your assistance

To make a long story short, my bumper got hit by a tire which was thrown by Suburban in front of me while doing about 65 . I have no clue where the tire came from.

Damages:
1. Scratch on the lower part of the bumper (will polish)
2. Twisted Lexus license plate cover (fixed by jumping on it as it is made of steel )
3. The black plastic cover on the side of the fog light got out of place (moved back, seems to be holding OK)
4. The parking sensor (driver side, next to the license plate) got pushed in.

I need your help with putting the sensor back. It is still alive as it is screaming like crazy as it sees the wall. The sensor looks OK and it still has rubber part around it. I have searched and only found that the sensor might have some clip on the back of it that was holding it in place.

1. What is the best place to get to it without removing the bumper? It looks like I need to start from the bottom cover.
2. There is a plastic painted insert which wraps the sensor around (it still sits in the bumper), Can it be removed and reinserted back with a sensor? How?
3. I need to know exactly what holds it in place and what about those grooves I'm seeing on the walls of an insert.

Please help me to do it on my own as I really don't want to pay $500 deductible

Thanks for any info

Just pull the bumper cover and you'll be able to access to put back in place. Takes about 20min to pull using directions and pdf maintenance page (incidentally for the PA sensors) I posted in this thread.

Good luck

Thanks a lot. It's exactly what I need. Does anybody know how the retaining clips work/look like? I'm trying to figure out if mine is broken and needs to be purchased before bumper removal. I don't want to do it twice.
