Default Color Change?

I like the GFM color but I'm not in love with it. I only got it because it was the only GS model left with the price they gave me....plus I thought it was similar to my old platinum sc300. I'm thinking of painting my GS that platinum color. WHat do you guys think?

unfortunately repainting your car is the best way to reduce it's resale value. i say keep it

I say keep it because that might cost you a lot of money just to do it. Plus, I do not think your car color looks that bad.

yeah i'd say no as well... but if you have your heart set on it, pick another factory color to help maintain value.

any paint work on a car will kill the value. even if you paint just a fender the same color it depriciates the value of the car. if you are planning on keeping your car and not trading it in then go for it. in the end its your car your money and nobody else ever has to drive it so do what ever floats your boat. im gonna paint mine as soon as i pay it off. i cant see spending 5k-6k on paint when i can use that money to pay down on my car.

Default color

I would leave it the way it is I don't see a problem with that color, how much off did you get it from another color?

The only GS left with the price they gave you? I thought the GFM color is pretty much in demand along with the obsidian black and starfire pearl.

Default don't think it was read right

Didn't ask how much you paid for it. asked like how much of a difference in price. For example it was $2K less, or $200 a month less for that color.. that still doesn't tell how much was paid but gives a reference as to why you chose that color over something else like how much motivation? not sure if you follow that

Don't even think about repainting it. You will kill resale and not get the same factory finish you have now. Plus everytime a car is taken apart, things get losened up and it never fits the same again. GFM is widely known to be a very rare and exclusive Lexus color, often commanding a higher price. I get more comments about the color of my car (GFM) than anything else. Love your car and be happy.
