Front Windshield Tint
Hey guys
I am kind of sick and tired of people looking through my front windshield, Is there some kind of film that I can put on to reflect the light? I am thinking of tinting my front windshield if I have to. Any input will be great thanks.
Take care

What kind of input are you looking for???.... It's pretty straightforward, get it tinted the shade you want, and find a shop who will do it for you (some wont-for obvious reasons).
And Oh, about the shade you can go up to full limo-tint the heck out of it-takes care of the sunglasses problems..LOL..

you can tint your windshield like myself and others have done but unless you want all kinds of drama with the local PD, your not gonna get it dark enough so people cant look in......and i dont think you want it that dark anyway! i did 50% (which is what most have) but ive heard of some putting 35% on the windshield and have nothing but legal problems. if your interior is black.....i wouldnt go any darker than 50%.

Beyond the POlice problems I think the loss of visibility during storm or at night may become a legal issue if you have an accident.
Will your insurance co. understand if you have an accident?
Do as you wish but expect the problems that will come along with it.
Best of luck.

If you look on the windshield, there's a mark labeled "AS1" (usually 4 or so inches down the windshield). Typically, most states have laws that you can't tint below the AS1 line, so if you do it, they might make you remove it. You'll have to look up your state's codes to see what's applicable to your situation.

I have 20% all around and 35% on my front windshield. There is not visibility issues, even at night, and it is a lifesaver when the sun is in your eyes. I hardly ever wear sunglasses anymore. This is the third vehicle that I have tinted the windshield that dark and never had any problems with police.
Not a great pic but you get the idea.
