i did have my car stolen before, but declined to purchase the lowjack since my understanding was that lexus has an engine immobilizer that need to be matched with an electronic code in the key. it is good to have one, but is it worth $1000? unless someone points a gun to your head (literally)..
nah.. it was a 94 integra gs-r long time ago, stolen twice even with an alarm. since then the lowjack was very tempting, but couldn't really justify paying extra $$ knowing that my current and previous car came with the engine immobilizer.
Somebody posted their GS stolen here a few months back. It was in Cali and park in the street. The GS was tow away, no incline sensor on the Lexus factory alarm
the dealership offered me lojack for $795 he said i can do it at anytime 2 days ago when i switched from my is to the gs. they will even has someone drive to my house and do it i dont have to show up for the service. think its worth it?
