Question Question about TPMS

Hi~ Guys

Nice meeting you all. This is my first time writing here.

I recently changed my tires from RFT to regular in local tire shop.(not lexus dealer)

It was fine for 400 miles then it showed "check tire system" light on.

I don't know whether TPMS problem or other thing.

I checked all the pressure, it showed around 40 psi(I know it should be around 35 psi --> should I reduce the pressure to 35 psi?)

Anybody know how to register the TPMS? or better solution?

Please let me know~ Thanks~

Lower the pressure to say 30 cold.....go and reset the system as in the manual, the button is at the very bottom of the steering column under the plastic there. That resets the system and makes them think your pressure should be set at 30....then you inflate to 33 psi cold and you should be fine. This way your light wont come on again until pressure drops to less than 30. Also make sure someone did not press the TPMS selelction switch in the glove box, should still be on 1....

Thank you~ I checked the reset key but it wasn't work. I brought my car to dealer in this morning. They said one or more sensor was out. They didn't have enough time to check this today. It wasn't problem with tire pressure just bad sensor. They said it would be $200/each around.

I realized that my signal was flashing not staying on. In this case, not problem with tire pressure, it problem with sensor. Coat more~
