thx henry. yeah, i was guessing it *might* be the jdm option, just wasn't sure. i just want to make sure that it's not a US spec option that's missing (like how the 450h and 460 has the power mode switch, but the regular 350 and AWD has the blank (cover) switch in that same place).

hey guys, I have a question about the same button, but mine is not empty - it shows a car that has kinda like wifi waves inside coming from the top of the car and then "OFF" beneath car. Nothing about this button in the owners manual. Any idea what it does?

I`ll try to take a picture tomorrow.

No, parking assist is a P button with waves. This is a car silhouette with waves coming from roof and then OFF beneath the car.

This is a crappy picture I found online - the button is top left corner in this case, because car is RHD.

OK, so here is a better picture. In my car's manual this button is blank. It doesn't seem to do anything when I press it. Any ideas?

Yep, I got that ThomasGS4, still don't know what the button is. Call Lexus Tech Support, you can reach them at this number:

(630)323-5600

Obviously, this is my local Tech support specialist, but you can search the web for your local dealer and they should have a number listed for their Tech support guy... He'll know...

FYI - I couldn't open your picture...

Yeah, in the worst case I`ll just ask next time when I am in for maintenance.

Here is another attempt at uploading the picture.

I don't have the options, but I think it's either the radar cruise control or collision detection system?

Overhead dome light?? LOL

Speaking of the overhead dome light, that is the only complaint I have with this car, the interior lighting is terrible. It's so difficult to see anything in the back seat at night when opening the doors. I like to check the back seat before I get into a car - for security reasons, and it's just difficult when there is no dome light. No lights come on when I enter the vehicle, maybe it's a setting I haven't found yet??

I think that's what it is.... auto cruise control.

basically while on cruise control if that's on, its a certain distance where when you come up to a car on cruise control it will automatically slow down the car and then pick back up. not sure if you can set the distance though.

Interior motion detector. So if you leave your dog in the car you hit that button so it doesn't set off the car alarm after you lock and arm the system.

It is there so if you leave windows down, and someone reaches into the car to steal something then the alarm will sound.
