Default Are Burn Outs Damaging?

This is my first rear wheel drive vehicle, and my buddy has a G35 coupe and he is always doing burn outs (hitting the brake and gas at same time and having the car stay in one place but spinning out the rear wheels). He is constantly saying that it doesnt hurt our cars. I am 34 years old and I have had my share of racing and stuff, but I must admit. It looks hot. I wanted to try it once, but wanted feedback from the rest of you guys about if this would damage my car in any way shape or form.

You're warping your rear rotors and killing the brake pads that's for sure.

I'm sure your motor mounts won't like it too much either.

If you have polyurethane or solid motor mounts, upgraded driveshaft, and line lock for the brakes....ONLY then can you say it doesn't hurt the car. Yes, I like doing smoke shows too

One thing it does hurt are the rear tires, but those are monthly casualties for me anyway lol.

it's one of those things that people justify doing because they do not see the damages at the present time..

Burnouts, are damaging, even when you do them it feels horrible, I did like two but it just feels horrible, rear rotors, pads, tires, then think about the transmission!

I like doing powerslides, just make sure you don't stay at red line for too long or little peel outs but burn-outs, yikes!

Check this video out, my Dad has a Brabus S600 607hp, 565 tq, we have been powersliding that thing around since 2004 but you should check your tranny, rear diff, engine oil daily, if you do get too crazy, hahaha

Yes, You can also break your diff, grind the diff, etc, you just need to do more maintenance than that of a regular GS owner would, make sure your tranny oil doesn't burn and get a TOM's racing LSD! Its all just to much money, so I say just buy a BMW M5!

For a heads up, if you see a great deal on a 2007 GS350 in 2 years with the last 8 digits in the vin has 70025314, don't buy it, hahahahahah! jkjk but serious don't! lol
