Default Christmas Gift Ideas for Dad

My dad drives a 2008 GS350. It's Obsidian with black leather. I want to get him something for it for Christmas. I'd love to buy him a set of rims, but I don't have that kind of money. I was going to buy him some D4S (not sure if that's the right size) bulbs to replace his stock bulbs and get him a 9006 kit for the fogs. But unfortunately, he doesn't want that. Anybody have any ideas? I want it to be something that he and I can possibly install together, so not something too complicated.

Also, he already has tinted windows. Thanks guys.

What about a clearbra(shop done), ipod hookup, OEM window visors?? Good luck on whatever both of you decide on. Blk/blk was my choice also...but AWD here in WA St.

He hates clearbra. Had it on his Porsche and didn't like it. He doesn't have an iPod. And never rolls his windows down so doesn't have any use for OEM window wisors.

I was thinking about possibly getting him a mellow exhaust. The Tanabe isn't too loud is it? I mean, he won't like it if it's loud all the time. But, he likes it to be aggressive when he steps on it. Kinda like how his Porsche was. About how much is the Tanabe exhaust? And do we have a forum vendor? Thanks.

Any way to get the Tanabe for less than $980?

an exhaust will stay with the car all the time, and if he didn't like it, it's hard for him to reject it since its ur gift. I would not want my son to pick one for me, talk me into pick up one would be better (although my boy just 1 now ) . I think it would be best if you hand pick a nice collection of sentinental or instrumental and soft music for him, it would be nice to drive and enjoy a good piece of music than anything else. any/OR a set of windshield sun cover.

The thing is, he won't get anything unless I get it for him. I'm hoping to get him into modding. As for the music, that's a great idea. I used it last year

Yeah, but he already has that. Last year, when the car was brand new, he bought a 1 year supply of hand car washes at Bubbles. He's only used about half of them to date.

why not get him the blitz throttle control?

a nice simple mod, that lets him step on it with the preset options and then switch it to economy mode for better gas milage?

I like the intake idea, because it will only be heard under high rpms.

I think he has a point just reading your posts... but if you had to get him something for the car... my vote would be for the intake or the Navi bypass.

I say get him a roof spoiler, it'll set his 3GS apart from the other dozens of black/black GS's on the road . . .

I like the ideas of the roof spoiler and the intake. For the nav bypass, you have to pull the nav out and cut and splice wires right? I don't know if he would want me messing with it like that.

What kind of prices can expect on the roof spoiler and intake? Thanks fellas.
