Default GS 350 and 430 Differences

Are there any differences in suspension or ANYTHING else besides the motor? Ive been in the market for a 350, but have come across a GREAT deal on a 430. I just want to know if all the parts I have on order will fit a 430.

most of the 430 has AVS, which basically allows you to adjust the suspension stiffness. that's a difference

on the braking, someone correct me, but i believe the gs430 has ECB, EBD, which are not available on the gs350 (at least not on 07 from what i was told). that's another difference

What year is the 430 ? Does it have Navi ? The 430 is heavier than the 350, so I bet the springs and shocks are not interchangeable . . .

Actually (according to the Lexus website), the GS350 weighs more than the GS430--50 lbs more in RWD and 120 lbs more in AWD

No idea about the suspension parts though

Maybe if you specified the parts you're talking about, it might help.

We would hope that would be the case but Lexus has done this in the past before..putting on the same suspension/brakes regardless of the engine size. The 2nd gen GS300/400/430 all use the same calipers/rotors/springs/shocks etc and the SC300/SC400 probably uses the same suspension too.

Default 2006 430 or '07 350???

Hi Gang-
I am getting ready to buy a GS (very excited). I know for sure I want black on tan with navi + 2 WD. From what i have seen the '06 430s are pricing just about the same as the 07 350s...around 27-32k. I realize the 430 has the V8, but are there any other major differences or what suggestions would you have for one car over the other. Thanks in advance for any feedback....

I just bought an 06 430. honestly, I didnt do too much research between the two but I really wanted the 430 because you see so few of them.
Also, the 430 has the sweet sport suspension setting.

I believe the body style is exactly the same for both.

06 430 = the v8...
07 350 = newer navi system.

If pricing is the same, I would do a 350, almost a no brainer, there are many small upgrades in the 07 versus 06, mp3 playback, newer nav, possibly fewer rattles, better MPG....

I would get the 430, because it has a V8, and I like the wheels better as well. A dropped 430 on stock wheels is just pure sex...............especially a white one.........
