Hi,

It may not be a 100% match however I would still suggest going with 4300k for the closest match.

kyang91 - the kit that you are referring to is definitely not made in Germany. The ballasts and bulbs used in that kit are made in China. The only thing that may be German about that kit is the fact that they copied a Philips LVQ 212 ballast shape. We purchase Philips LVQ 212 ballasts (hella Gen 3 ballasts) direct and there is no way that they can sell a kit that uses genuine German components for $200. The cost of 1 ballast is over $100....

I second Steve's suggestion of going w/ the 4300K.

In my GX I have one of Steve's 5000K kits (great kit BTW & great service - thanks Steve ). The 5000K does not match the OEM HIDs in my '07 GS - it's distinguishably whiter. To my untrained eye, it looks to be as much whiter than OEM as the 5000K looks to the 4500K visual guide floating somewhere around CL. Steve probably has the link to it as I cannot find.

Incidentally, pulling the bumper skin is very easy to do - takes less than 30 min. I had to do mine after my dear nudged a deer one dark rainy night

Steve's kits are A+ quality, plus he is a CL vendor here.... all the more reason to use the best stuff for our cars. I am very pleased with my setup and the customer service at XenonDepot.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the support =)

It's always a pleasure working with ClubLexus members!

BurgBoxstr brought up a great point about the 5000k kits looking too white compared to the OEM 4300k. That is why I suggested the 4300k kit if you wanted to best match. Here is the link to the 4300k kits:

I would get the 5k or 6k kit and upgrade the OEM hid bulbs to the same color. I did this with Steve and the match was excellent on the IS. I need to get this done on the GS now. Great products and hands down excellent service from Steve!!!

When I did my HID kit for my fogs, I did the 6500K.
I found those to match 100% to the 6000K low beam bulbs I also ordered.

I was able to see a lot better with the fogs being 6500K.
I went through xenondepot.com

WIth my install since I had the 450h, it took a little longer than the qouted 30 minute install above.
I had a motor behind the right fog light, so having to work around that made it take about 2 hours total.

Either way, well worth it.

on the GS450h there is the engine, and 3 other motors.
One motor will self sustain all electronics, one assists the gas motor and I think the other charges the batteries in conjunction with the regenerative breaking.

The biggest motor in in the back trunk where the spare would be, that alone will put out about 190 hp.

Wonderfully thought out car, except for the trunck space, although I hear the newst GS450h will have a bigger trunck.

That motor up front, I am not sure what it does, it was about the size of a large book l * w and about 7 inches thick.

FOGLIGHT is meant to be used during the FOG, therefore personally I would go with 3000k (yellow).

Anyway, here is a quick step for installing the HID to your foglight (takes about 15-20 minutes):

Supply needed: flat headed screw driver, paper towels, 100% alcohol, double-sided tape, some mechanical skill.

1. turn your wheel away from the side that you are woking on;
2. there are two plastic push-in screw, remove them;
3. carefully pull the wheel well cover open, disconnect the wire and remove the OEM bulb;
4. clean the HID bulb with 100% alcohol to remove dirt and grease from the bulb, otherwise it might blowup...VERY IMPORTANT!!!
5. also clean the back of the blast (then tape the double-sided tape) and the area where you are going to stick the ballast (I sticked my on the side of the front bumper);
6. connect all the wires, then turn on the light to ensure it lights up (b/c sometimes manufacture mix up the +/- wiring);
7. install the HID bulb into foglight housing and stick the ballast.
8. push the wheel well back and re-screw the screws back on;
9. repeat step 1 to 8 for the other side.
10. after the installation, fire up your toy and turn on newly installed HID foglights and leave them on for 15-20 minutes to ensure proper break-in process.
11. you just lost your virginity to your vary first HID foglights installation!!!
