20" Tires AWD - yeah I know ;)
Hello Club Lexus!
*Before* I get any responses regarding me doing or not doing enough searching, I have spent countless hours (days?) of OCD approved digging into the little details one may inquire about running 245/35/20 tires + Tanabe NF210 springs on a GS350 AWD (2008) -- just a disclaimer
Yes, I'm aware that 245/30/20 would leave me with little or no rubbing issues and that the 35 series is over-sizing ~1". However, living in NYC that little extra meat on the sidewall with the 35 series is priceless. I was strongly considering 19s (245/35/19 tires) but I cannot find the style of wheels I'm interested in on any 19 application, the few I have found are double the price I wanted to spend (yeah they were forged). Additionally, I (d?)evolved out of the idea of spending the extra G's for 19s when the look I am clearly after is brilliantly executed in 20" applications.
Well, enough of my ranting. I measured my ***** this morning and realized they were big enough to go ahead with a 20" setup on the NF210s. So, what I would like to know from all of you AWD guys rollin on dubs is what kind of tires did you use? Were they all season? What type of driving experience did you have with the different brands? RWD 3G's please feel free to comment.
I am personally considering the Toyo Proxes 4. I was also looking at the Bridgestone RE960 Pole Positions, Dunlop SP Sport Signature and a couple others on Tirerack (all tires in question are all-season). And as far as rubbing, I've seen a lot of mixed reviews, I'm sure this has to do with the size of wheel and/or the size of tire used.
Please leave any comments regarding the tire fitments, rubbing issues, etc. I appreciate and welcome all feedback. Thanks guys

Good Luck with that lowering and 20inch rims. I know a few heads who have done that and have no issues at all. Very little vibration also. Im just waiting till they actually make some springs for the AWD. Im not sure if Coilovers help?
I think 245/35/19 tires with NF210's would be great! It's a nice balance for looks and performance. If you install NF210's with 20's you will rub in the front (mainly while reversing out of a parking space) and your gas mileage will be affected by the larger diameter tires and more weight. Unless you went with 245/30/20 tires. However, the load rating for 245/30/20 (90) is less than the specified load rating for the vehicle (93?).
