I'm not a big fan of the GS tail lights and I dont really like the total blacked out look so I was curious to see what the tail lights would like on a GS if I painted the upper and lower halfs black and left a little bit of red in the middle.
By the way I don't have photoshop. All these were done in Microsoft Paint and I'm not even an expert in that so forgive the craftsmanship and just try to see the concept I'm thinking of.
I think they could actually look really good if done right. I figure you probably wouldn't have as much problems with the cops as if you were to do a total black out since there's still some red showing.
And these pics aren't of my car so I hope whoever they belong to doesn't mind me using them.
Here you...
This one is with the strip a little wider. I think it actually looks better this way.
Yea I know it wouldn't be 100% legal. Like he said tinting windows in most states is illegal also. What I'm saying is that tinting the tail lights like this won't be as bad as the way most people tint the GS tail lights which is to tint the entire tail light or to tint the upper region and leave the clear reflector area untinted. At least with the way I did it in those pics the red is clearly visible and the parts that are tinted will be visible when you have your lights on anyway so you probably won't get stopped. Cops might think thats just how the tail lights are.
