Parking Assist
A $500 waste of money,IMO.
Especially with the rear camera.
I have the PA shut off.Too many dash lights on for nothing.
It's not so much the money,it's the bumper covers without the ugly sensors looks so much nicer.
Impossible finding a GS with ML,NAV without Parking Assist, though.
I asked and was told it was impossible.

Better to spend $500 on an option that will have you thousands of dollars in case you dent and need repair/painting, or even a new bumper.
Also, it helps save lives. Legislation is trying to make it standard on cars, so you don't hit children or animals (or even unattentive adults)...

Never had a problem.
However,I wish the others who parked in front and back of me had the PA option but in NYC,they again would ignore the sensor anyway.

Now if I go to the city,I take my son's Civic.
Bring back chrome bumpers!!!

one thing i love most on this car are the sensors and backup camera. use them every day and they really spoiled me. now when i go back to cars without them, things become so much "harder"
i totally think the parking sensors are worth it, even with a rearview camera. think about it.... $500 for a approx. $50k car is only 1% of the car's price, but yet i use it quite often to park.
for me, i have lots of junk in the garage and the front sensors help me gauge how close i can drive it towards the boxes when i park the car in the garage, without having to stretch out and look towards the front..... i just move slowly and look on my nav screen for the sensors.
also, when you think about re-sale value, i think it's a cool feature as a selling point to buyers.
personally, i really wanted to get parking sensors without ML....but i was told you need to get ML if you want the sensors. in the end, i got the ML with it, and am very happy that i did....got a great stereo system, and the sensors i wanted as well.

I cannot live without my parking sensors! They make parking in Chicago an absolute breeze - I can maneuver into spots with so much more ease when I know how far back or forward I can truly go. I am also really impressed, as another person said, that they can detect high curbs. Priceless.
