Hey fellow GS owners. This is my first post and I had just pick up my first lexus! Let me know what you think of the deal I got. 2006 GS430 w/ML. 44700 miles for $33500. Its a LEXUS Certified Preowned. Ticket price was 37k. I had them throw in a car cover also if that helps.

I think you got a good deal--better than I did 5 months ago. I predict some number of people are going to say you could have gotten a GS350 for that and that you should have gone that way.

Congrats! You'll love it.

Yeah originally I was in the market for a new gs350. But with payments nearing 1000 or so without insurance I turned away. I could'nt find any used gs350 in my area with the options and color I wanted. Plus all the used ones are like 38-43k where as a new one at invoice is 34k or so. I've bought a lot of vehicle/bikes and I've notice that you loose your *** right after you sign the DOCs. You could save thousands buying used. Plus you're buying the Toyota/Lexus brand which is failproof! Plus I am an auto technician so I dont mind the mileage. I added the extended 6year/100k warranty also to the deal. It was like 20 dollors on top of my payment.

Oh, I wasn't downing your choice at all.

I'm right there with you in an 06 430 I absolutely love it!

It just seems like threads about used 430s always end up with a number of 350 advocacy posts. There were a lot of 300s and only a few 430s. I found 350's were higher than I wanted to go (a few thousand more than 430s)--the 430 was higher than I initially wanted to go, but I was willing to pay between the 06 300 and the 430.

Anyway, where's your pictures?

I think that's wise to keep the bumper-to-bumper going.

I was unfortunately operating under the misconception that I could extend the warranty as long as it was inside of 5/50,000, so I went with the included 3 years and declined the extension offer (with the intent to add it later).

I'm still kicking myself about that. It turns out the original owner can make that extension. On the CPO, you only can do it with the purchase transaction.

thanks to all. i haven't got any pictures yet. they all look the same stock. yeah I got it at the stevens creek stealership. I was told by a lot of people that stevens creek lexus is a high scale dealer that does not negotiate much but I found it as the opposite. I pulled up at the dealership, my wife and I ate our 7/11 lunches in the car. Walked out and looked at all the CPOs and saw this one. Test drove it within 5 minutes and finished all the paper work and was out with the car in less then an hour! dealers are all hurting for a sale right now no matter what they say or what numbers have shown. my advice for purchasing a car is to just be calm. walk in and take your time to negotiate. if the numbers is not in your ball park then walk. they'll call you for sure! if not then go to another dealer. tell them straight up what the deal you were offered and what you want. by this the salesman will try to be the deal.
