Default gs350 stolen

Hey Lexus family,

Just thought I'd share some bad news; My car got stolen last night sometime in the am.

Whats so upsetting is that I decided to splurge a little when I purchased this car because I never thought in a million years a car like this can be stolen.

But I remember watching "Gone in Sixty Seconds" and realized that any car can be stolen if the car thief is smart.

Given that this car uses smart key technology, Im assuming they probably towed it within a matter of minutes and now the car is probably either in a chop shop or on a boat.

A word of advice, dont be an idiot like me and keep a lot of things in the car but rather keep it simple. Also, consider taking an extra precaution perhaps lojack or using the club or whatever.

I live in a pretty good area and sure enough it happened. Good luck guys as for me, NO MORE Lexus and once my case is settled, Im returning to BMW or maybe might try Audi.

take care guys

p.s. I have spare stock shocks and springs..

WOW, sorry to hear that!

Hope they either find it (untouched) or you can get a payout from insurance. I guess they really can steal just about anything -- I would have thought that it would be difficult to steal a GS350.

Not sure I understand your aversion to Lexus though -- would think BMW is a stronger target for thieves, but I really don't know. Good luck!

That makes me sick to hear man. I thought the car was a little harder to steal than to just tow it away. You didnt hear an alarm or anything??

the alarm isn't that sensitive.

if they did it slowly enough, they could tow it away with dollies.

i know someone who got his range rover and audi stolen at the same time. also parked outside.

makes me wanna get a lojack.

but it's a lose lose situation. someone got your car, pissed in it, or took it for a joyride. who knows.........

then if you do get your check, there's massive depreciation and you only get enough money to buy a honda civic.

Condolences

Question: When you say "in front my house," is that driveway or street?

sorry to hear of your lost, but yeah, you don't want them to find it.
and as far as the alarm go, I thought it was just for the locking/unlocking of the doors. I never heard one go "off" before.

Sorry about your Car theft.

But your comment of BMW or Audi will not prevent car theft.

If you want a BMW or Audi, fine - But it just seems irrelevant to your car theft.
