Headlight question
Just a fun fact, the headlamp assy itself is about $1100.00 list and the headlamp washer which is a seperate item is about $250.00 alone.
I had no idea that little piece pops out and stars shooting water out
My fear was one or more of the plastic tabs holding the assembly were broken off which would have required at least $1100 as flipside909 notes above. Thank goodness, all I had to do was bend the lower support arm back up a bit.

I know that is because part of the chrome piece on my headlight was kinda pop out on the edge, so I ask my service advisor to take care it for me.
My service advisor told me the only way to fix the problem is by replacing the whole headlight assembly unit.
So you do have to get a new headlight assembly in order to replace the damage chrome piece on the headlight.

For clarification, your question in post #3 was unclear........
Per flipside909's #2 post..........
.....the headlamp assy itself is about $1100.00 list and the headlamp washer which is a seperate item is about $250.00 alone.
Does the $250 include the "chrome" cover.... I'd imagine so, if not yes it should be available separately.
Your question in post #3, just below flipside's response above.....
"do you know if that chrome strip can be purchased or does the whole unit need to be bought in order to fill the gap....?"
lead me [and others I assume] to believe you were talking about the rest of the ring around the assembly. To that end, no the chrome ring around the assy cannot be purchased separately. It is molded as part of. In other words, if you don't have the headlight washers and crack the ring, you would need to buy a whole new assy.
I think we're all on the same page now. You should be able to look up the part # for the washer (w/ "chrome" trim piece
) on Sewell's parts look up if need be.
Sorry for bumping up an old thread. Im just trying to do some research
