i was wondering if it is possible to install both unit together. i have both unit and am about to install the two but then i noticed that they both use the same harness to connect into the back of the navigation unit. my question is can i basically loop both of the harnesses together and then plug them into the back of the navigation. what order should the factory harness go into first? i dont want to mess up anything in the car. i tried looking around but no one said anything about how to install both at the same time.

I just installed the Vais iPod + video and also did the Nav override with switch, on my 07 GS350 and it all works great. The cables are not the same. The Vais cable connects to the radio and the cables clipped for the override are on the Nav display.

Since the Vaistech and the nav hack use the same harness, can just buy the vaistech unit and perform the wirehack on the vaistech harness?

Okay...sorry for injecting that extra layer of confusion in there.

Can anyone report which harnesses that that Vaistech interfaces with?

the vais harness plugs into the audio plug (12 pin i think) that is located toward the lower right corner (passenger side) of the unit, oriented as if you were looking at it while in the dash.
