I cant believe how freakn intrusive the traction control is. I turn it off and punch it out of a corner and there is no wheel spin or skidding, so why does lexus have the system set sooooo sensitive. The car is way more capable of maintaining traction than lexus thinks. Its just ridiculous
something is terribly wrong with the car. have it checked out. my wife and i alternate to drive the gs, and we have both of our positions memorized of course. as long as we use the right remote, all stuff adjust themselves including the side mirrors. i can't even recall last time i had to adjust my side mirrors
rominl...you let your wife drive the GS??? what is wrong with you?
lol, i trust my wife driving the car more than anyone check my history, gs400, sc430, is300, ls460l, they were cars she drove as well she's a pretty good low car driver hehe
Thanks for the info rominl and cut-throat. I keep wondering why this wonderful car has seat memory, but I have to keep changing the mirrors every time I get in it to drive. I have not once since I've owned the car been able to get in and drive without having to adjust the mirrors.
2. Nav/DVD lock out (fixed with JDM converter, Mdx doesn't lockout Nav)
3. Digital clock not-synched w/GPS for cars w/Nav - if we can track 5-10 birds in the sky, why do we have to manually adjust the clock ?!? (Mdx does synch but is now off due to early DST)
Your's doesn't sync up? Mine is right on with the GPS. Check the manual
For me, other than the need to open the darned flip down door for everything, the display defaulting back the the nav screen after I put the car in reverse makes me nuts. I know where I'm going and where I am most of the time so I'd like to see my audio info please, since that's where it was to begin with.
man, we already had a big butt discussion on the thread about the leather seats, let's not have a hair chat on this one
haha let's try not to...

As for annoying features (or characteristics):
1. Tpms not showing which tire(s) is low (my Mdx does)
2. Nav/DVD lock out (fixed with JDM converter, Mdx doesn't lockout Nav)

I'm nitpicking, since these were also issues in the 2IS and it didn't prevent me from getting a 3GS
TPMS not showing individual is kind of annoying. But you should check all four anyway when it goes off. At least I do.
I thought the digital clock's synced. Are you sure it doesn't sync with satellite?!

No clue what this is about. Same engine in 07 in the 350 as the 08 so...

Please enlighten me, what pg in the manual details the digital clock-GPS sync feature. I certainly did not turn this feature off, so shouldn't the factory default be for it to be enabled ? I had the exact same issue in my 2IS.
Am I the only 3GS owner with Nav that had to manually adjust the digital clock for DST ???
^ Thank you, that proves my point - the 3GS clock is not sync'd with GPS, GPS will adjust for DST automatically, just like it will adjust for different time zones automatically. . .

well, to clarify, the clock does automatically set itself. now whether it gets the time from GPS or somewhere else (god knows where) i don't know. but it just doesn't adjust for DST itself.

Ditto. As far as the times being set, it's either set when the vehicle arrives at the port or during PDI at your dealer. I don't see how the clock automatically sets itself unless it's satellite linked to the atomic clock, which is highly unlikely.

I think you can change the default screen,.... might want to look in the manual for that (I can't remember, since I like the Nav screen I haven't bothered to change it)
Most annoying thing is the Nav/Bluetooth lockout in motion (but, of course, that can be fixed). Another minor annoyance is the fact that the full iPod connection is extra and not included - oh, and it doesn't come with HD radio.
I like the auto fold in mirrors - seems auto to me in comparison to my 2GS which does not have an internal button for folding in the mirrors. I would not want my mirrors folding in on their own all the time,...
