I had my windows tinted yesterday and noticed the edges of the front and rear windshields (where the dots are) were not sticking. I asked the tinter guy and he said thats just the way it is, is this true? Should I have him re do it? Any help would be appreaciated.
I have the same thing with my tint done at the dealership. I also had the same issue on my g35. Where in phoenix did you get it done finally. or did you take somewhere in scottsdale

I actually ended up going to PH Protection in Mesa. Not really happy with the end result. I had to have the little windows in the back redone because they were cut to short. One of the rear windows is also cut to short on the sides. (just noticed the other day). The back windshield has little hair fibers stuck in the tint....looks tacky to me.The staff was really nice though and others recommend him. This might be an isolated incident who knows...but as for me, I'll try some other place.
I've got an appointment with Airparktint in Scottsdale on Saturday....Cross my fingers.
But now I have to pay an extra $250 ($100 to take off old tint) to get my windows redone. hopefully this time it comes out right. Im going to make sure before they even start, what I expect. Still taking any recommendations.

You can go to a thousand tint shops and most of the time it will be a good job... but remember non-factory tints will always have SOME dust and fibers caught in the tint. You just have to get over it, yes it sucks. I made them redo my front windshield and side windows all over again. Still the same results.
If you wait a couple of days the moisture will dry out, push the tint down by running your fingers over the bumps. It will look about 50-75% better, my tint guy always has me come back for this step. He also said there are shops that take out your glass, remove the bumps and reinstall. I've heard of shops that remove the glass, mask off and paint the bumpy areas so you have a border of gloss black. G/L
