Need help with a Nav Hybrid Disk Mod.
HELP !!!
I just tried the Nav overide reco by creating a hybrid Nav Disk. I purchased a 5.1 Nav Disk and followed the directions on the posts to replace the Loading.KWI file from the 5.1 disk to my 6.1 files. Everything copied over fine but when I installed it, I got an error message. Now the the nav doesn't work and the disk can't eject.
Anyone have any ideas on how to get it going again ? Sounded like a simple mod but now I seem to have no nav.

Yes go into menu and press the bottom and top left at onve and that will eject it. Im pretty sure this is what you need to do I did the exact same thing. Then just rhrow your 7.1 disk in and it will update and be back to normal.

Thanks but right now, the hybrid disk is inside the player and will not eject. None of the Nav buttons are working at all. I have a message that the program can not be read and to see the dealer... along with some Japanese letters.
I am open to any suggestions.

blending a 5.1 and 6.1 should be doable. If you're going to retry it, be careful about getting the right blank dvds (memorex+R DL usually work) and burner software that is proven. Roxio seems to work better than Nero for some reason for this. the nav dvd readers are really touchy. the last variable is the dvd burner itself. that's trail and error.
you can try burning a straight backup copy of your 5.1. no hybrid, just a straight copy. be sure to burn a 'data' dvd and put that in. if it won't read, then the blank dvd type, the burner software or the burner itself is likely the problem. if the backup does work, then you've cleared those 3 hurdles and the problem is probably something with your combo technique.

Thanks... I am trying it again. I am burning it on a Mac laptop. That could be the issue. I will do the trial and error tests to see if I can get it refined. I did find another good post that I am following to see if that will work out better.
Thanks for the help.
