My 2007 GS 350 is my first Lexus. Ever since I've had it, I've noticed that people who drive other luxury brand cars will cut me off. Lately, I've had an Infiniti G35 cut me off on a freeway on-ramp and a Mercedes E-class come extremely close to me on an empty freeway.

Why do people feel the need to show off their cars by cutting me off? This phenomenon has never really happened when I drove non-luxury cars. I guess it just comes with the territory of driving a premium vehicle.

i don't have that problem and i have been driving 5 lexus over the past 6 yrs

don't think too much, just enjoy your car. or, just drive a bit more aggressive and not let people cut in front of you. you have a 350, you can take some

It's because your GS is Verdigris Mica. I also make it a point to cut off
people in Verdigris Mica GS's because it's fun.

dude.. you are in CA, they cut you off, you cut them off back, isn't that just a way of life in the war zone like freeways in ca

 

sounds like Miami. lol... I don't usually get cut off, its the other way around. Slow driver perhaps?

 

Hmm, maybe you're just more sensitive to the actions of other drivers since your GS350 is new?

Or maybe people are just itching to race you

I know it's crazy in NYC, but polite So. Cal. drivers are vastly outnumbered by the rude drivers!

 

In Hawaii, I hardly ever hear someones horn. In CA, I'll hear people using it for every little thing. from taking too long turn to changing lanes with room to spare. And no, I'm not the one they honk at.

Same thing happened to me tonite. I was driving on the 10fwy goin west bound on my way home.. A freaking Silver Z06 corvette was behind me and all of a sudden he/she decides to get next to me. **** starts reving on me and cuts me off. What's wrong with people nowadays? My car is stock except for wheels. I ain't gonna race a corvette

 

They sense weakness look meaner and go faster when you drive

I wouldn't take it personally, maybe you're just noticing more because you're more concerned about your car? In Houston, it doesn't matter what you're driving, someone will cut you off almost every time you're on the road,...

 

The ride is new and you probably are keeping it clean and shining like me . I don't have that cutting off stuff happen to me but what does happen is other drivers who pull door to door with me at a red light just to look. Some will slam on the gas to show me what they got. I don't feed into that.
