Default Park Assist???

Did all GS 300's with Mark Levinson/Navigation come equipped with park assist?

I have the button in the drop down box but it doesnt illuminate on the dash when pressed...

I would probably never use it, never use it in my girl ES, but if I have it and its broken I want it fixed...

Just look on your bumpers to see if you have sensors (usually rectangular protrusions).

I don't know what kind of system is on the ES, but the Intuitive Park Assist system on my GS450h is simply fantastic! I can't live without it anymore.

press the INFO button. should be a touchscreen icon to get to the park assist settings. make sure it isn't disabled or something. (and should give you a clue as to whether you have the system or not).

aren't those small circular discs in the front and back bumpers part of the system too? Anyway, I don't know the answer to your question about all but if you have the button, and not just the slot where the button would be, I would think you have the system. It is a good feature to have.

Don't worry. Mine has the parking assist button in the drop box too, but it doesn't do anything cause mine didn't come with it. Used to think the same thing with the headlight washers too, but I realized my headlights had to be on for them to activate.

Same boat for mine. A sweet button tht does absolutely nothing. Maybe we could hack the button to engage left and right front wing machine guns, like the Bond's DB5!

I am considering an aftermarket ultrasonic park assist system- supposedly they are easy to install and work well. We'll see.

clearly bad original guess on my part. do you guys with the dead button also have a park assist icon on the info touchscreen? can you get in there and change settings etc even tho it doesn't do anything because you don't have the system?

Well, at least it's free button to play with. It would make a cool inconspicuous NOS button if you had one and trying to hide it. But yeah, no parking assist in the info screen either.

I was thinking a passenger side ejector seat since that is where my real time park assist feedback comes from.

That would be a perfect on off button for auto side mirror retract.

I've never tried to 'fix it' because, in dealer speak, the feature works 'as expected'.

My '08 has park assists, but i have a dead button for the sunshade. It would be instresting to rig a kill switch to it or something like that.
