But you also have to take in the consideration passing power. Zero to sixty is one thing, but how about 20-60, 30-50, 50-70, etc. I have no idea which one is actually faster, usually it has nothing to do with 0-60 numbers, but I would prefer the car that has better passing power.

Ok, at this point i think i will grab the first good deal. The GS350 is actually more expensive than the GS430's i have seen. The specs are pretty darn close. GS350: 303HP @ 6200 274 ft lb @ 3600 compared to the GS430: 300HP @ 5600 and 325 ft lb @ 3400 RPM. Judging by the #'s only, IMO i think the 430 is faster at any speed. I guess i have to take them both for a test-drive and see.

Anyone konw if the 07 430 has the 5th gen Nav?

I think you are under estimating the high end power of the direct injection technology my friend.

430 has worse gas mileage, for the same power that loses my interest

On the high end, Lexus dual injection techonolgy switches to almost all direct injection, I know for a fact that I have no problem what so ever passing people on the highway cruising at 80 MPH.

You must also ask yourself if you want AWD or RWD? For me, it was a no brainer...needed AWD for these snowy NJ winters...although it hasnt snowed at all this year. But I will tell you this....the 350 is plenty fast...it still makes me smile when i hit the gas

Nothing can beat the bigger displacement of a V8. If you happen to go uphill, the V8 pulls a lot easier.

Someone set up a 0-60 on a hill More torque is nice to have but I think the limitation here is the tires. Just the traction control alone will eliminate the 8 cylinder's torque advantage. Can you turn off the 06 GS430' traction control?

Traction control? Hummh..I hate it especially when there's a turbo that can break lose the traction, and it's held back.
