Vista Lexus in woodland hills. They were hesitant at first but I told them it states it in the manual so they did it.

it's simply ridiculous that dealers here in the US won't do it, it's not even required by law, before it was even approved for US cars to have DRL on cars, many states even banned the use of DRL.

if dealer refuses, print this following page and instruction on how to (on this forum) to them.

Its not ridiculous, its a society driven by law suits. If its printed in the owners manual or on the Lexus web site the dealer can do and Lexus can be responsible. If the dealer does it and its not listed any where they then assume resposibility. And I dont care what anyone says "oh I would never sue you if you turn them off" when the accident happens and an ambulance chaser gets a hold it here comes the law suits. Thats what we have turned into and thats why we have all the stinking lawyer screens and disabled functions while we are driving.

I appreciate the help in this thread. My dealer agreed to disable the DRL's after I sent him dozens of posts, the page in the manual and the Lexus customization form from the webiste (I used the LS form because it has the DRL's).

Anyone that wants there local Lexus dealer to disable the DRL's should do the same.

Thanks for all the help. I got the DRL's disabled and the seat belt buzzer (loud thing isn't it) disabled as well. The dealer said I was one of the "rare" few that insisted these be disabled.

I'll be going to Lexus of Roseville for my 1K service and ask them then. I'll let you know.

My bro-in-law can do it when I visit him (he's a Toyota mechanic and brings his work laptop home) but I'm gonna ask Roseville just to see how their service is. All it is is they plug the car into the Toyota computer and change the personalized settings. No big deal. Takes 5-10 min. Cars are all computer controlled now. It's the same as BMW and I imagine Mercedes.

The LS customization form is now missing from the website?

What delearship do you use?
I am still in my 30 day period, but have close to 1500 miles already. Think the dealership will take care of the DRLs at the 5k service?

It took the tech 10 minutes to turn the DRL's off. Any Lexus dealer should do it once you SHOW them the proof that corporate allows it in the USA.
Please go to the Lexus web site and look for the LS customization form.
The LS has it CLEARLY listed. The GS has it stated as an option in the manual. I even had the dealer turn off the sealt belt buzzer which they had neber done before.
