Default Doors not fully closing!!!

I don't know if it's just me or the car but does anyone have a problem with their doors fully closing?? It seems like I have to slam the door (driver and passenger side) in order for the doors to fully close. In my last Lexus, I usually just the tap on my way out and the door would just close. I took it to lexus and they said it's a common thing and just use more muscle. I know for a fact that my friend's 07 GS isn't like this. Anyone else have this problem? Please help!

they said it's a common thing and just use more muscle......I don't think so....My doors close fine.....slight push on door handle(hate fingerprints all over)....closed. I don't know if I'd buy into the "little more muscle" idea...not for a Lexus. Hope you get it resolved...maybe take it to a different dealership.

get a ls460, it has auto closure

lexus cars are pretty air tight, it's normal to use more force. that happened on our sc430

I think I have this problem as well. Compare to my mother's ES350, front doors are much harder to close. Funny thing is, rear doors are much easier to close and feels normal. Front, I think there is something wrong. even the opening feels weird. WHen I go for first free 5000 mile oil change and brake pad update, I am going to try other GS on the lot.

Yes, please do and update us on what they say. I'm gonna go back to Lexus along with my friend's GS and show them that my door is not normal.

beleive it or not it is a combo of a very tight interior seal and possibly a slight door latch mechanism issue...just for kicks, try this
open your rear window or sunroof a tiny bit and try closing and report back....

It is definitely the good solid door and window seals that make our doors harder to close. Sometimes quality has its down-side, but I'd rather have a quiet interior cabin than easy closing door any day.
