I'm looking to upgrade my Navigation DVD.

I've been reading the forums on "hybrid" DVDs and they all seem to refer to old discs as 5.1 versions. The disc I have is a version W41 D.

I'd love to get something more current but don't want to spend the cash since my dealer says a new disc is coming in November. In the meantime, I'm confused about versions - will any version work in my 2006 GS300 (5.1, 6.1, etc.?) What is the most current available disc?

Can anyone assist me in finding an affordable version that is more current than what I have?

Also, are these discs interchangeable with Toyota and others provided they are Denso discs?

Thanks for the heads up - did I miss anything or is the Hawaii issue the only noted problem?
