Default 2007 GS350 keyless entry problem

I've got a 2007 GS350, 2 months old. With the fob in my hand and directly next to the driver door, I am unable to get the door to automatically unlock (this worked fine up until a couple of days ago). Also, when the door is unlocked, pushing the black button on the door handle does not lock all doors, rather, it gives the long 3-5 second beep (again, this worked fine up until a couple of days ago). Pushing the lock/unlock buttons on the fob correctly locks/unlocks the doors.

Has anyone experienced this? And if so, have you found a solution? Seems odd this would occur within 2 months of purchase.

Hmmm it looks like you may need to take a visit to the service dept. Seems like the key fob and the computer are not communicating on the same frequency.

I've experienced this too. What I figured out was that my wife's purse was still in the car with the other key. That disables the unlocking/locking feature on the door handle. Probably because the car doesn't want you to lock your keys in the car.

But when there's another key in the car, you could lock the car by pressing the button on the remote.

Hey guys...thanks for the replies...this forum is great. Thanks to your replies, I figured this out.

So I'm testing various things with the key fob, when I finally ask my wife (it's her car) to get me the spare key fob so I can test with that one. "Oh, I think I lost it." Based on that statement and the replies I received here, I assumed the fob had to be in the car. Finally found it in her briefcase which was on the passenger side floor. "How'd it get there, I never put it there!" Heh, too funny.

Thanks again, guys.

I've had something similar happen to me before as well... took me about a day to figure it out!

I think it's time to trade in the wife for a newer model.

Did anybody else's keyless entry go flaky as the weather has gotten cold???
It was OK last winter but is now acting up.

My 2006 GS's is now intermittent. It only works every now and then.

Any TSIB's on this?
