Was looking at a GS350 on showroom floor......Notice in the glovebox an IPOD connector. Found it interesting....asked a few questions.....have no clue on what interface was used or what the "behind the dashboard" trick was used.

A salesperson found me like a hawk....did not know what was used or how it was installed....but for $600.00 he would get me one from the part department.

Doubt very much if it was Lexus OEM........

Oh by the way...I still have my $600 in my pocket.

 

it is now an accessory option in europe, for around €350.

Anyways, I think I missed the purpose of this thread. Do you have a question regarding the iPod adaptor or are you just stating that you saw it as an option in an 07?

when i get loaners from lexus of glendale, their loaners are equiped with the vaistech connector, very nice. you should try to plug in your ipod and see if anything shows up on the ipod screen or so

definitely not oem, there is nothing on 2007

 

My 07 didn't come with the iPod integration but my 08 xB came equipped with it....standard equipment.

 

don't feel bad, scion was first to come out with mp3 players too before lexus
