Ceramic tint offers the best cooling benefits without the radio interference but it is quite pricey. It's nearly twice as much to install as metallic tint and many who have the thicker films (darker than 35%) have had ghosting caused by the overuse of a heat gun to shape the film (it's thick) to the glass. I have it on my car and am very pleased with the results. Hope this is the kinda feedback you're looking for.
Well if you followed my tint post about 3 weeks ago, you'll know I choosen Huper Optic tint. Its 35% which is legal in Hawaii. Looks pretty dark depending on the lighting. But from inside out, it looks clear durning the day, yet it really does cut down some heat. $400 tho so it wasn't cheap.
SO what Tint did you guys use. I don't want it to affect the smart access. What would be alright to use.
Thanks again!!!
I actually chose 50% tint just cuz i have a GFM car and i dont like the way uneven or even a semi-dark tint looks on light color cars. i opted for the clean, even look and i love it. people always ask me if the car has factory "smoked" glass because its not very dark.
the pics below show the before and after. the two top pics are before, the bottem after. REMEMBER!!.....I have black interior so from certain angles it looks darker but believe me......50% is reeeeeally light. im so f-ing glad i didnt go darker. i guess it depends on the exterior/interior colors.
