I got my GS300 fully loaded with nav/mark last august brand new, i noticed that i have had alot of minor problems with my 3rd gen GS300 i noticed that i never had this many problems with my 2000 platinum series GS300, im just curious what problems other 3rd GS owners are having. pls list repairs that you have had done and how many times it took them to get the job done

1. passenger window lever fell inside door. 2 visits
2. mark lev rear sub woofer blew 4 visits
3. front brakes squeak 1 visit
4. left low beam light blew 2 visits
5. sunroof wont close taking it in the morn

 

Wow, sounds like a string of nasty luck! I got my GS350 on the last day of Sept and haven't had any of those issues.

 

06 GS300, Nav/ML, Park assist, bu camera, 18k miles, built Feb 06. I bought it used about 4 months ago. So far, I can't find a single problem. No rattles either. Guess I'll count myself lucky.

 

Squeaks and rattles in both my 06 and 07 GS 300. I did 18,633 in the '06 car and so far I have done 6211 in the '07 car. The only other problem I can think of was the centre console cup holder door kept popping open when the weather was really hot on the '06 car.

Did they replace your squeaking brakes under warranty or was it due to normal wear?

If you've blown your sub woofer 4 times, all I can say is you must love it loud...did you consider an after-market unit with more power?

Normally, if a driver (speaker) blows, it's not necessarily because of volume, but rather, it's because of distortion. If it's blown 4 times and all they've done is replace the driver, it'll probably keep happening. Just a thought...

 

As far as squeaky brakes, did you get them to replace with the low-dust brake pads with the TSIB?

 

they just replaced it they didnt mention tsib. service man just stated that it shouldnt be squeaking. my sub wasnt replaced 4 times it took them 4 times to get it fix. 1st visit they ordered the sub. 2nd visit they replaced the rear pass door speaker. bc tech said it wasnt sub. 3rd visit they ordered the sub for rear, after i let the service man hear that it was the rear sub. 4th time they replaced the sub. are yall aware that the mark lev 10' woofer cost 595.00 thank good it was under warranty. but thats still high for one sub

 

Sure is...at least they sorted it in the end...did you get your sunroof sorted out? What did they do?
