Last night i tried to open my trunk. I tried the key fob, the controls from the drop down panel on the dash. I tried with and without the car running.

Has anyone had this happen to them? Not sure if this is a problem. What do you guys think?

 

There are a few threads on this issue. Check that you haven't accidentally hit the "valet only" button inside the glove box. If that is alright, there is a TSIB for some '06 GS300 and GS430 vehicles on trunk motor malfunction. The bulletin # is BO001-06, and your dealer should be able to look it up for you.

 

I've had a couple of instances where I've opened it but the latch partially closed and then the trunk wouldn't close. Solution: press the trunk release again and it reset. Good to know there's a TSIB out there though.

This is good advice. I hit the button in my glove box accidentally when I first got my car. A few days later I needed to open the trunk and nada.

Took a little while to figure it out.
