I was wondering what the GS has for ambient lighting. I am talking about the soft LED lighting constantly on at night when u have the headlights on. The E-class has the ambient lighting cast over the center console, all 4 footwells, and all 4 door handles.

What about the lexus?

 

The GS350 has all LED lighting inside. I like t. Could use a bit more light though. At night, you have a light on the center console, all footwells, backseat, and door handle areas. When you get in, theres a LED from overhead that lights up the steering wheel, all seats and all doors (doors don't have LEDs tho).

 

you can light up the "LEXUS" on the doors if you want for about 400. Saw it somwehere, do a search it you really want that done.

 

I was not asking about illuminated door sills. I am asking about ambient lighting.

 

I think I pretty much covered what lights up.

 

I perfectly understood what you were asking. As in the post before mine, everything was perfectly posted and described what was lighted SO I didn't want to repeate him. I was adding what "could" still be lighted as factory options if you wanted/needed.

 

oh sorry, Thanks. I am deciding between the GS350 (new) and a 545i. I am very torn.

 

Go with the 350. My best friend has the 545i, and while its a beautiful car and probably faster, theres a billion of them on the road. Also, I believe the new 5 series is about to come out. Lastly, I think the GS has way better interior.

 

both are good cars, I had a 550i and I could only keep one, my 450h, or my 550i.
I chose the 450h. How's that help in your deciding process.
Get the lexus.

 

Don't forget about the mini LED spotlamps on the drivers and passenger door storage bins (front only), just below the door arm rests; also the center console has an interior LED.

 

I like the outside LED lights that illuminate when you walk up to the car at night.
