Default Employee Pricing

My local dealer (Lexus of Seattle) is having a five day sale for (loyal) customers only and is offering (employee pricing) on new in stock vehicles.

They will only give the pricing if I walk into the dealership; not over the phone.

Anyone know what percentage discount employees get?

Thanks;

Pat

It's an advertisement gimmick, nothing more. As far as your question goes, it does not have an answer. What they're advertising is the DEALERSHIP employee pricing, not Lexus employee pricing. Employees of Lexus of Seattle are not employees of Lexus, and do not get Lexus employee discounts.

As far as true Lexus employee pricing, it's probably somewhere in the range of invoice plus/minus 2% (most likely minus).

If Lexus corporate finds out about this, they will have that dealerships head. Lexus strictly forbids "sales" and gimmicks to sell cars.

I would think that employee pricing doesn't take into consideration factory to dealer incentives or any other factors.

Employee pricing is 3% off the base invoice of the car, and getting the options at pure invoice(they don't discount extra options). If this is confusing, here are numbers.
GS350 Base MSRP 44,150
GS350 Base Invoice 39,566
39,566(97%)=38,379
Add all the options you want at invoice, and you got your employee pricing.

This is for Toyota employees, dealers don't get the same deal, I do not know what dealer employee pricing is.

It would vary vastly from dealer to dealer.
