Default about installing BUTTON to WATCH DVD

I just realized installing a button is far better than just cutting the wire behind the NAV.

only problem is i'm not that confident in doing this mod by myself, so i was wondering if there is anyone out there who's willing to help me through the mod in person.

btw, I live in Bergen County, New Jersey

TeddyKei...

How do you purpose installing a button without cutting any
wires? The wires that would be connected to the button, where
would they be connected to?

I don't think there is any way around having to "cut wires"

I think this is doable, essentially the wire connections can be pulled off the harness, a wire could be connected there and a similar harness could be purchased so that the wire can be harvested, inserted into the harness so it connects to the car, thus completing the loop. This is easier with only one wire, otherwise for nav, you technically need to have a double switch plus one to ground !!! just cut the darn things already...I will do a single wire bypass for my non-nav car by disabling the vss wire only with a switch bypass, i will post pics too

you guys got me wrong.

What i meant to say was, apparently there are two ways to watch DVD while driving.
One of it was cut off some wire (forgot the specific name) and leave it that way, and the other was wire a button to turn on or off the feature. it's on page 11 or 12 on DIY section.
