I just saw a GS350 AWD on the road today for the first time, and it was being driven by a guy that must've been at least 70 years old!

I'm 42 - an elder statesman, it appears.

Maybe a better poll would be on how we paid for the 3GS:

1) Paid cash
2) Financed
3) Leased

The answers might put a different spin on the age results. I paid cash (along with my trade-in), but mostly because I hate financing anything. I'd rather be temporarily broke than stuck with big monthly bills.

Just curious. The big firms in CA (OMelveny, Latham, Gibson, Sheppard Mullin, Paul Hastings, etc.) are starting first years at $135k. Aside from Quinn Emanual and Manatt, I only thought NY based firms were starting 1st years at $145k.

Well first off, this thread is called "How old are the 3GS drivers?" not the "Let me try to impress people by saying how much money I make" thread

Still, why are you so defensive when being asked what firm you work for?

Anyhow, this is getting off topic...sorry guys.

I agree. NO FINANCING ANYTHING. But did you pay cash to buy a house? Now this is crazy.

As a matter of fact, I did. But I realize that most people can't do that, so house financing is usually a necessity. A car, though, is a tool - and financing one is sort of like financing a shovel.
