Just came across a nice article regarding BBKs and their relationship to ABS. Credit goes to lobuxracer.

Just installed me some Supra TT brakes. The braking is more solid. I wouldn't say it's dramatically better than the stock ones (prob because the rears are already 2 pistons), but I can say that it takes less effort to stop at the same distance.

I definitely feel safer braking.

Again, I'm not sure if the mounting brackets are the same, but you can def find LS400 or Supra brakes for a good price.

Quote: Dave - I will be ready for a 4-pot / 14" kit. I will have the Lexus 18" g-spider wheels - so they should fit, right?

car update: latest dealer allotment did not have a loaded white GS, so now they have to dealer locate one for me... another couple weeks I am sure... almost there, almost there...
Get a couple more guys together and I'll swing something together! And the spider wheels "look like" they'll clear!

Guys I have this thread bookmarked so I'll see what I can do on the ENDLESS and BREMBO for you depending on the number of confirmed buyers we can get!

to you guys for going all the way with such a relatively new car! As far as the "why get a bbk" comments goes, track or no track they offer a discernable difference in brake feel and performance. I drove Bluelex's car with fr/rr bbk and then got back in my GS with just caliper/pad upgrades and it was certainly easy to tell the difference. Neither car was driven in an auto-x

Get the brakes! I wanna see some thick sixies up front.

you dont *have* to upgrade brakes, but they look better, and are worlds better on feel and effectiveness.

make sure to get some stainless lines!!
