Default Exposed Screw on steering column

I noticed that there is one exposed screw on each side of the steering column when you turn the steering wheel about 90 degrees to either side. Is there suppose to be a cover for those screws? I had my dash removed before to fix some of the rattles and I was wondering if the techs just fogot to put the covers back.

I have the same - two exposed philips screws on the column - you are not missing screw covers. I never noticed them till I read your thread...

nope... there are no covers. In general, screw covers are not used if not really needed. Easy to loose or to damage if you need to access the screws.

supposed to be there. That is the screws to hold the 2 covers together. Top and bottom.

Thanks for all your responses. It just looked like there should be a cover for those screws. But I guess not.

If it bugs you, you could probably put a drop of colored caulk in there or just paint them to make the screws disappear.
