Run Flat repaired yesterday
The idiot ligts and tire pressure message came on yesterday. I took the car to the dealership thinking I had a bad tire senor. I did a visible check of the tires and could not find a nail. Well the found a nail in my tire and said they would be able to repair the tire. 45 mintes and $39.95 later, I was on my way.
I always thought run flats could not be repaired. Curious on who else has had run flats repaired and how long did they last?

All run flats can be repaired, but the tire manufacturers generally don't alow it and will void the warranty if they are. Run flats are intended to run a limited distance without air before the tire sidewall begins to soften and flatten out like a conventional tire. Once this happens, it can't be undone. The risk you incur by repairing it is that you don't know how well it will work the next time you have a flat.
As long as the tire didn't loose all pressure and you didn't drive very far after the low pressure warning, you should be ok.
