Default New GS300 AWD

Hi CL members I just got this car a week ago and I hope I did not make a mistake in
buying this car. Well let me explain I really wanted the RWD GS but I had trouble finding
the right color and options. So when I was offered this AWD GS for the same price. I grabed it
I asked if drove the same as the RWD and was told yes it did. I should have have test drove it
but I did not because I was too excited about getting it. Now that I have it the ride is not as
smooth as I remebered on the RWD GS and the sound level of wheel noise seamed louder.
Have any of you experience this with your AWD GS cars? if so what did you do or will do.
Thank you for your replys and God Bless you.

Might be a tire thing. Any chance your AWD has run-flats vs. standard tires on the RWD you drove?

No it does not have run-flats it has standard 17" rims that are chromed.

AWD's should be standard on Dunlop 5000 SP run flats.

You are correct it does have run-flats on it that explains the not as smooth ride. I looked at
the tires and confirmed that is what I have. The salesman told me did not have run-flats.
Thank you guys for clearing that up for me. Although the more I drive the car it's getting smoother.

Congrats Very nice color combo for the GS You can always switch to regular tires after you wore out the runflats.

This is very true. During the break-in period (for both the car and for the tires) the
ride is rather rough. It smooths out after a while. If you get a good set of
regular 17'' after the runflats wear out the ride should be very smooth.

I just hit 1K miles and the runflats are much better although I wouldn't say good.

I'm replacing with the Good Year F-1's next week.

Those run flat's willl wear alot quicker than regular tires, and have a much stiffer ride due to the structural intergrity of the tire.

Our indication is that RWD G3 production has stopped to make more AWD GS's-??
